Christian Herald Newsletter
Fifth Ward Missionary Baptist Church (FWMBC) Christian Herald is a monthly newsletter which focuses on biblical teaching, church and social events within the Fifth Ward community. The purpose of this newsletter is to minister to anyone blessed to read it, in hopes that it will meet a need in their life. This newsletter is published and available on the first Sunday of every month.
The Christian Herald also features special days and events in the church such as: birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, births, baby blessings, advertisements, and special tributes to old and new members.
Church Nursery
Open during worship services each Sunday
Preschoolers are indeed special people at FWMBC. Our preschool ministers to children from birth to age 5 in a variety of ways. It is our hope that our Nursery and other preschool ministries will allow your child to associate God, Jesus, and the Bible with happy feelings, to develop a sense of self-worth, and to begin to show love, respect, and acceptance for others.

The Nurse Aide Board is a uniformed group of females and males with diversities in ages, backgrounds and careers united in sharing the same belief in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We are willing to give of ourselves through service, time and love of our fellow church family and neighbor.
“For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
We focus on spirit-filled comforting and assistance, First Aid & Emergency Assistance and Health Education Awareness, Health Awareness Fairs and activities.
Orientation Committee for New Members
It is a special joy to meet new members who join our church family. New Members are encouraged to attend New Member Orientation. Our New Member Orientation is a four-part series with each session lasting one hour. Meeting times are Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. In These sessions you will learn what we believe the Bible teaches concerning:
- Salvation Assured
- Discipleship
- The Church
- Stewardship
Each new member will be introduced to the Ministry opportunities in the church and be encouraged to join one of these Ministries as soon as orientation is completed.
